What 593 Tours offers

593 Tours sells digital tickets for events and adventures in Ecuador. An event happens at a place and on a date. An adventure is a self-guided experience played in the street with a phone.

The website and its content may change. A change does not reduce the rights attached to a purchase already made: each purchase is governed by what was published at the time of payment.

593 Originals

593 Originals brings together the adventures created by 593 Tours. For these, Duque LTD is the seller and is responsible for the experience.

The age rating, the schedule and what is worth knowing about each one are shown on its page before you buy.

Events and adventures from organisers

Independent organisers and creators can publish their events and adventures on 593 Tours. Nothing is published without a prior review.

For these sales, 593 Tours acts as the organiser's agent: it collects payment for the ticket on the organiser's behalf and delivers it to you. The organiser provides the service and is responsible for it, for its content and for any permits their activity requires.

From each sale, 593 Tours keeps a commission of 5% of the ticket price, plus VAT, and pays the rest to the organiser.

The page of each event or adventure from an organiser says who organises it, and the purchase email repeats it with their legal name.

593 Tours keeps the responsibilities that Ecuadorian law places on it as a platform for its part in the offer, the payment, the information given to consumers and after-sales support. Calling itself a platform does not exempt it from them.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and Apple Pay are accepted. Prices are in United States dollars. A service fee of 15% of the price and VAT of 15% on the price and the fee are added to each ticket's price. The breakdown and the total are shown before you pay.

593 Tours does not store your card number: from each payment it keeps the card brand used and the total.

Your ticket

The ticket is digital and lives in your account, under Tickets. Its code changes every 15 seconds, so a screenshot or a copy will not get you in.

You can send a ticket to someone else from Tickets. Once they accept it, it moves to their account and stops working in yours.

Each ticket keeps its history: the purchase, every change of hands and its use at the door, with each entry carrying the fingerprint of the one before it. Once a day, a single fingerprint of all the day's entries is registered with OpenTimestamps (opentimestamps.org), an open service that anchors it in the public Bitcoin blockchain. Only that fingerprint leaves 593 Tours: no names, no tickets and no one's personal data. The record is public and permanent, and the proof can be downloaded from a ticket's history and checked with the OpenTimestamps tools.

A dated ticket is valid for its show. An adventure that has been started expires after 48 hours. An undated adventure that is never started expires six months after purchase.

Cancellations and refunds

All sales are final: a ticket is not refunded for not attending or not using it.

If the organiser cancels a show or changes its date, you can ask for a full refund of the ticket, including the service fee and VAT.

Nothing above limits the rights that Ecuador's Consumer Protection Act gives you, including the right to return distance purchases where the nature of the service allows it.

Tourism, safety and Ecuadorian law

Sales to users in Ecuador are subject to mandatory Ecuadorian law, including the rules on tourism, intermediation, e-commerce, consumer protection and personal data.

Each organiser is responsible for the registrations, licences and permits their activity requires. An event or adventure being sold on 593 Tours is not an administrative authorisation.

Where an adventure involves physical activity, alcohol or minors, its age rating is shown before you buy.

Places, brands and third parties

The appearance of a destination, venue, public space, attraction or brand in an adventure does not by itself imply sponsorship, authorisation, partnership or a commercial relationship.

City maps are drawn by 593 Tours. City coordinates come from GeoNames (geonames.org), under the CC BY 4.0 licence. The volcanoes on those maps and some places on the routes come from OpenStreetMap (openstreetmap.org), © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL licence.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the texts, original stories, design, visual identity, graphics and editorial structure created for 593 Tours belong to Duque LTD or are used with permission. Content published by an organiser belongs to them, and they publish it with the rights it needs.

593 Tours and 593 Originals identify the platform and its product lines. This notice does not claim that every brand, character, story or element is registered, patented or protected under every possible form of protection.

Brands, photographs, illustrations and content owned by third parties remain the property of their respective owners. Referring to a real place, a historical event or a general game idea does not appropriate rights that legally belong to the public domain or to another person.

The original content of the website may not be reproduced, sold, published as one's own or exploited commercially without permission. Sharing its links is allowed.

Proper use of the website

The website may not be used to attempt unauthorised access to its systems, interfere with its operation, scrape content at scale, introduce harmful code, impersonate 593 Tours, forge tickets or present its adventures as one's own.

These restrictions do not prevent normal browsing, legitimate quotation, criticism, research permitted by law or the exercise of user rights.

Scope of the information

Duque LTD aims to keep the published information accurate. Nothing in this notice seeks to exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, personal injury or any obligation that cannot legally be limited.

Personal data and cookies

593 Tours processes the personal data of users in Ecuador in line with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection. Duque LTD also meets the UK obligations that apply to it through its establishment in the United Kingdom.

The data you give when you create your account and when you buy (your email, your name, your tickets and, if you add it, your phone number) is used to provide the service: signing you in, delivering your tickets and writing to you about your purchases.

Anyone selling on 593 Tours is also asked for the details of whoever is responsible: whether they are a person or a company, their public name, their legal name, their national ID number, RUC or passport (with the country that issued it) and their phone number, and, to pay them, the bank, type and number of their account. These are used to tell buyers who organises, to pay them for what they sell and to handle any claim. The public name appears on the page and the legal name in the email for each purchase; the document and the account are not published.

To work, 593 Tours uses these providers, which process data on its behalf:

• Vercel, which hosts the website;
• Google, for signing in with Google, storage, translating what sellers publish and the map creators use to mark their route;
• Meta, for signing in with Facebook and sending your sign-in code by WhatsApp;
• Anthropic, which reads the seating plans that creators upload with 593 Studio, with no one's personal data;
• Stripe, which processes payments;
• Resend, which sends account and purchase emails.

Cookies and your rights

The cookies the website uses are the ones needed to keep you signed in. It uses no analytics or advertising. The map creators use to mark their route is served by Google, which receives the IP address of whoever uses it.

You can delete your account from My account, and with it goes what 593 Tours saved when you signed in with Google or Facebook: your name, your email and that account's identifier. To remove only Facebook or WhatsApp, select Remove on its row in My account; you can also remove 593 Tours in your Facebook settings. To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure or objection, write to hello@593.tours.

The website contains links to pages or services run by third parties. Each third party applies its own terms and policies, and 593 Tours does not control their content or availability.

Applicable law and user rights

Purchases by users in Ecuador are governed by mandatory Ecuadorian law. No term removes consumers' non-waivable rights or prevents access to the competent authorities.

The incorporation, administration and company disclosures of Duque LTD remain subject to the law of England and Wales.
